Microsoft PowerPoint is a very popular presentation software.
This software is developed by Microsoft company and can be installed and used on computers with Windows operating system.
Also, it is used for study, teaching, presentation of documents in large halls and other functions. Its file extension name is .ppt.
It is available in different versions in the market. Among them MS-Powerpoint 2003, MS-Powerpoint 2007, MS-Powerpoint 2010 and MS-Powerpoint 2013, 2016, 2019 versions are available.
This lesson will discuss MS-Powerpoint 2007.
Office Button and its associated menus
The Microsoft Office Button in Ms-Powerpoint is rounded at the top left of the PowerPoint window. It contains the most commonly used commands.
If you click on this button, you will see the following options.
New:- New Option works to create new presentation.
Open:- This option is used to open Powerpoint presentation file saved on computer.
Save:- It is used to save unsaved files.
Save As:- This option is used to rename a presentation that has been opened or saved on a computer as well as to move the file to another new address on the computer.
Print:- After you have finished working on the file, you can use this option to print.
Prepare:- It is used to prepare a distributed file. But it has not been used.
Send:- This is used to email the presentation file.
Publish:- This allows you to put the presentation file on a CD/DVD and publish it on the Internet.
Close:- With its help, the file opened in Ms-Powerpoint can be closed after completion of work.
