How to Save a Workbook (Saving Workbook)
The workbook in MS-Excel must be saved on the computer for future use. Do the following to save.
Step 1: - Press Ctrl and s button together. The Save As dialog box opens. Or you can open the Save As dialog box by going to the Office Button and clicking on the Save option.
Step 2: - Then go to the place on which computer to save the spreadsheet document. Then type the name of the file as given in the picture above and click on Save button. In this way, you must save the work book to work later.
How to open a saved workbook?
You need to update the details in the workbook spread sheet file saved in the computer. The following methods can be used to reopen the file.
Step 1: - Press Ctrl and o button together. The Open dialog box opens. Or you can open the Save As dialog box by going to the Office Button and clicking on the Open option.
Step 2: - Then go to the location where the file is saved in the computer, click on the file and click on the Open button.
Now the workbook of the name created and saved earlier opens on the computer.
The opened workbook has to be closed after you have finished your work. The following steps must be completed to close the workbook opened in this way.
Step 1: - Click on the Office button.
Step 2: - Click on Close.
Step 3: - If workbook is not saved then message box appears. The one that has been updated in the work book, informs whether it should be saved or not.
If so, clicking the Save button will save it, but clicking the Don't Save button will not save it. Only after clicking Save will the opened workbook be closed.
