Dear friends, here I present the collection of computer practical questions that are asked previously in the computer practical exam of the Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog).
These questions are collects from the students that are included in the final exam, from the internet, from Facebook, from friends.

These questions help in your final exam. These questions are collected by me for the book also that I will publish after when I completed the whole topic that I will share with you with my knowledge.
To collects, these questions take time years and years for me which I publish freely to you.
The first paper is completed in two steps one is in which the examiner examines your Typing Test in "English" and "Nepali" format, both are must you have completed.
In the second paper, you have questions from Ms-office and email, internet (HTML).
In ms-word, type question no. 2 (i.e. English Typing Word Document) in a new document and do the following task in ms word mostly asked as you see the first question below.

Q.No.1 Copy and paste question number 2 in New Word Document (English Type Document) and do the following tasks. (Kathmandu 2071)
  • Justify the paragraphs.
  • 1.5 line spacing for 1st paragraph.
  • Use numbering to the sentences in the second paragraph. ( Insert till 5)
  • Use of Drop Cap.
  • Inserting 5 x5 table and shading the first row.
  • Insert an Octagon and write your name in the center.
Sol:
1. Copy (Ctrl+C) the content of the English Typed Document and paste (Ctrl+V) it in the new English Formatting File.
2. To Justify the paragraph, select paragraph press Ctrl+J to adjust Justify. See below in the image.justify
3. For line spacing do the following.  Highlight the Paragraph Click on Line spacing and select 1.5 value from the dropdown option.

4. Make the 5 sentences of the Last Paragraph, and select the required Numbering List as shown in the below figure.

5. To insert Drop Cap, select the first letter of the Paragraph and go to the Drop Cap option, do the setting as asked in the question.

6. To insert the Table do the following steps. Go to the insert tab, Click Insert  Table, insert the value 5 column, and row click ok. 
To first row shading, select first-row, go to Page border options of Design tab, then go to Shading Tab and from fill option select color.

7. To insert Octagon shapes, Go to Shapes from Insert Tab and select Octagon shapes from the list. To fill name in shapes, select shapes and right-click, click on Add text, type your name, and press Ctrl + E to center the text.

Q.No.2 Do the following task in an Ms-word new document file (.docx). (2070)
  • Copy the text from question number 2 (English Typed Document) that you typed before in English format. (For practice, just copy from anywhere, paste in the new document and do the following tasks for new students, from my view)
  • Make the text italic, text font size 15, line spacing 2, insert page number at the left bottom of the page, insert drop cap.
  • Insert "Computer Operator Exam 2070" as footer, header, and watermark.
  • Insert the following equation.
  • Perform the following task.

Zn + H2SO4 = ZNSO4 + H2O
NaOH + HNO3 = NaNO3 + H2O

    Q.No.3. Copy and paste question number 2 in New Word Document (English Type Document) and do the following tasks.
    • Make Three Column of 1st paragraph and show the line between the columns.
    • Give 0.5” left and 0.5” right indentation to 2nd paragraph.
    • Give the border and shading to the third paragraph.
    • Set a password using your symbol number to modify.
    Q.No.4. Copy and paste question number 2 in a new word document (English Type Document) and do the following tasks. 
    • Make three-column of 1st paragraphs and show lines between the column.
    • Give 1” left and 1” right indentation to the second paragraph.
    • Give the border and shading to the third paragraph.
    • Protect your document.
    Q.No.5 Perform the following task in Ms. Word.
    • Make the three blank pages where 1st and 3rd page are in portrait orientation and 2nd pages are in landscape orientation.
    • Give the different header and footer within a document.
    • Set the watermark “Operator Google”.
    • Save your document with a password to open.
    Q.No.6 Type a given paragraph from the exam paper and perform the following task.
    • Make an initial letter of the first paragraph big (i.e. that covers 3 lines) and change it 60 sizes, ‘Arial Black’ font.
    • Make five lists of numbering.
    • Make the five lists of bullets having a hand symbol.
    • Keep a footnote to any one of the words of the first paragraph.
    • Centralize the heading of your document.
    Q.No.7. Copy the Paragraphs you typed in question number 2 (i.e. English Typing  Word Document) and Paste in the new document and do the following tasks. Word Processing Question. (Dipayal, 2071)
    • Keep 2/2 inches left and right indent.
    • Insert "Word Processing Question" as header and page number in the footer.
    • Insert "Practical Preparation" in the right margin of the document in vertical alignment orientation.
    Q.No.8. Design the following page layout in Ms. Word.
    • Create Page 1 and 2 in Portrait.
    • Create Page 3 in Landscape.
    • And 4 and 5 in A4 Portrait.
    Q.No.9 Copy the Paragraphs you typed in question number 2 (i.e. English Typing  Word Document) and Paste them into the new document and do the following tasks. (2071)
    • Divide Four paragraphs for the text and justify Alignment.
    • Make Drop Cap the first letter of the second paragraph.
    • Make 1.5" line spacing for the third paragraph.
    • Change the font size to 17 points for the last paragraph.
    • Insert footnote as "Operator Exam" in "Looking" text.
    • Apply numbers for the last five sentences for the 4th paragraph.
    • Draw octagon shapes and add your name and center Alignment.
    • Insert a table with 5 columns and 6 rows and keep the first rows shading with darker 5%.
    • Set up the page layout on Landscape orientation and set up page margin 1.50" left and Right 1.05".

    • Entering the formula in MS Word has become the most easier. You can use the character formatting for simple type of formula such as (a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2 or 2H2O = 2H2 + O2 while there is equation editor add-on for more complex formula as:

    Insert Tab
    On the Insert tab, the galleries include items that are designed to coordinate with the overall look of your document. When you create pictures, charts, or diagrams, they also coordinate with your current document look.
    Home Tab
    You can easily change the formatting of the selected text in the document text by choosing a look for the selected text from the Quick Styles gallery on the Home tab. Most controls offer a choice of using the look from the current theme or using a format that you specify directly.
    Document Theme
    To change the overall look of your document, choose new Theme elements on the Page Layout tab. To change the looks available in the Quick Style gallery, use the Change Current Quick Style Set command. 
    • Apply a suitable heading style to the titles.
    • Apply one–and–half line spacing to the paragraphs with justified alignment.
    • Insert a table of contents at the beginning of the document.
    • Enter 'Go to top' text at the end of the document and configure it in such a way that MS Word will jump to the Table of Contents if it is clicked.
    • Convert headings into small caps.
    Q.No.13 Perform the following task in Ms. Word.
    • Prepare the bio-data including your details.
    • Set a password using your symbol number to modify.
    Q.No.14 Create a document with the following text and carry out the tasks mentioned below: (10 marks)

    • The left and right margins are to be brought in by 1.2 cm and 2.4 cm respectively.
    • Indent the first line by a further 1 cm.
    • Align the paragraph to the right-hand side of the page.
    • Apply double line border at the top and bottom and single line border on the left and right of the paragraph.
    • Change all Microsoft of paragraphs in MS.
    Q.No.15 Type the following paragraph correctly in a new word document file (.docx). (3)
    What is Network
    The network used to interconnect computers in a single room, rooms inside a building or buildings are normally called local area networks (LANs). LANs normally transmit data in a digital form using media such as coaxial cable or multithreaded cable. Local Area Network can be used only on one side of a building. The terminals and workstations are able to connect either one of the 'two' host computers when required.
    The network has a file server and a print server. The file server is a special computer that provides a form of auxiliary storage that can be used by any other computer on the network. The print server is a special printer that can receive data from other computers on the network and print it. It is possible to connect an external communications server on the LAN with a device which makes communication possible between the equipment of the network and system elsewhere, e.g. modem.
    For example, in the IT department of the Nepal Electricity Authority, there are more than 30 computers working at the same time. The authority can get information about whatever is being operated on any computer. All things can be connected to the file server.
    Format typed paragraph as the following criteria. (5)
    • Apply 16pt font size with bold and italic for heading and center align it.
    • Apply paragraph spacing after 12pt for all paragraphs.
    • Apply line paragraph 1.5 lines for the third paragraph and justify it.
    • Insert footnote "Two or more than two computers connected with or without cable" for the underlined word of the first paragraph.
    • Insert cross-reference for the underlined word of the second paragraph with first paragraphs footnote number (formatted)
    • Insert a clip art right side of the second paragraph set text wrapping square and insert caption below clip art as "Figure 1: Clip art Picture" form reference. (2)
    Q.No.16. Enter the following text in ms-word and solve the following questions.
    Types of Computers
    There are different types of computer systems nowadays for different purposes according to user needs. However, we can classify them into different groups based on different aspects:
    Based on Size
    We can find four different types of computers based on size.
    Super Computers
    These are large computers that are most powerful. They can complete tasks very soon and are optimized to complete given tasks quickly.
    Mainframe Computers
    These are the largest computers and can support hundreds of users simultaneously. These are powerful computers and optimized to run a maximum number of applications at one time.
    Mini Computers
    These are medium-sized computers –smaller than the mainframe but much larger than personal computers. They can be the best solution for medium-scale organizations.
    Micro Computers
    Microcomputers are the smallest when size is concerned. They range from Desktop, Laptop up to the palmtop and even smaller ones. Because microcomputers are developed to support a single person, they are often called personal computers (PCs).
    • Insert a table of contents at the beginning of the document.
    • Insert the following text as a footnote for the phrase “Based on Size” Computers can be classified with respect to the different aspects such as Brand, Application, Model, etc. Size is one aspect.
    • Insert “Fundamentals of Computers” and current date total number of pages.
    • Apply a thin single line as the bottom border for all headings.
