Undo / Repeat (Undo-Ctrl Z / Redo or Repeat - Ctrl Y)
Microsoft Word offers two important features called Undo and Redo or Repeat. The undo feature is used to undo the previous task and the Redo or Repeat feature is used to repeat the previous task.
For example, if you accidentally delete text, you can use the undo feature to retrieve it. Similarly, if you delete a character and you want to delete more characters, you can use the redo or repeat operation. Both of these features can be done as follows.
Undo an action: -
You press the Ctrl key on the computer keyboard and press the z key as many times as you want to undo.
Additionally, you can click the Undo button in the Quick Access Toolbar.
Redo an action: -
You press the Ctrl key on the computer keyboard and keep pressing the Y key simultaneously as many times as you want to redo.
Additionally, you can click on the Redo button in the Quick Access Toolbar. Redo can be done by simply pressing F4 Key. If pressing F4 key from the keyboard does not work then you should press F4 along with the Function (Fn) Key on the Keyboard.
Repeat an action: -
You press the Ctrl key on the computer keyboard and the Y key simultaneously.
Additionally, you can click the Repeat button in the Quick Access Toolbar. You can even repeat by simply pressing the F4 Key.
Note: - If pressing F4 key from keyboard does not work then you should press F4 with Function (Fn) Key on keyboard.
