The paragraph in MS Word can be formatted as you wish. Which I have mentioned in the following written way.
How to format paragraph: -
Paragraph formatting is about making the text of a document paragraph better and more effective. Paragraph formatting involves the following tasks.
1. Text alignment
2. Paragraph Indentation
3. Line Spacing
4. Paragraph Coloring
5. Paragraph Bordering
How to Align Paragraph?
The following method should be used to align the paragraph.
Step-1: - Select the paragraph.
Step-2: - Click on Home Tab.
Step-3: - Select any one of the four types of alignment (Left, Right, Center, Justify) as required from the paragraph group.
Paragraph Indentation:-
Paragraph indentation is the space between the margin and paragraph of the right or left page. Indentation of one paragraph or many paragraphs within margin can be increased or decreased. Ms-word supports four types of indents which are as follows:
Right indent Indents text from the right side of the page.
Left indent indents text from the left side of the page.
First line indent Indents first line text from the left side of the page.
Hanging indent indents all lines except the first line on the left side of the page.
How to indent paragraph?
Step 1: - Place mouse cursor in indent setting in document,
Step 2: - Click on Home tab,
Step 3: - Click on the Paragraph group dialog box button. The paragraph dialog box appears as shown in the picture.
Step 4: - Then click on Indents and Spacing tab,
Step 5: - To set Right and Left indent, set the value in the dropdown box of Left and Right indentation. If you want to set indent in all the lines except the first line, you have to set the value in special field.
Step 6: - Finally click on the OK button.
How to set line spacing in paragraph?
Step 1: - Select paragraph to set line spacing,
Step 2: - Click on Home tab,
Step 3: - Click on the Paragraph group dialog box.
Step 4: - Select the value from the line spacing dropdown box as required,
Step 5: - Then click on OK button,
The paragraph thus selected appears to be line spacing as you set it.
How to set spacing in paragraph?
The space between two or more paragraphs is called paragraph spacing. Paragraph spacing can be set as follows.
Step 1: - Selecting Paragraph,
Step 2: - Click on Home tab,
Step 3: - Click on the Paragraph dialog box,
Step 4: - Select Indents and Spacing tab,
Step 5: - Set the value in the Before and After box under Spacing,
Step 6: - Finally click on OK button,
Now the spacing between the selected paragraphs can be seen according to the spacing value.
Coloring the Paragraph:-
Sometimes you have to color the paragraph of the word document. The following methods can be used for coloring.
Step 1: - Select the paragraphs to be painted,
Step 2: - Click on Home Tap.
Step 3: - Click on the shading button under paragraph group,
Step 4: - Then the color dialog box appears. Now click on the color you want. This way you can color the paragraphs from the color box.
Bordering the Paragraph:-
The paragraph can be bordered as follows:
Step 1: - Select the paragraph to be inserted in Border,
Step 2: - Click on Page Layout tab,
Step 3: - Click on Page Border option under Page background in that tab. Then click on the Border tab in the Open Border and Shading dialog box,
Step 4: - Then select any required border art under Art,
Step 5: - Border Style, appropriate line size, color, border width etc. can also be selected,
Step 6: - After making all kinds of settings, to apply the setting, select the paragraph from the Apply to box,
Step 7: - Finally click on OK button,
Shading the Paragraph:-
The following paragraphs can be shaded:
Step 1: - Select the paragraph to be inserted in Border,
Step 2: - Click on Page Layout tab,
Step 3: - Click on Page Border option under Page background in that tab. Then click on the shading tab in the Open Border and Shading dialog box,
Step 4: - Select fill color as desired,
Step 5: - Select the style and color under Pattern,
Step 6: - Then to apply the setting, select the paragraph from the Apply to box,
Step 7: - Finally click on OK button,
