After learning the basics of computer, the next major task to learn is computer typing.

To know the typing, you need to know about the keys on the keyboard in the computer. It is important to know which key (button) works.

Can be typed in both English and Nepali languages.

It takes more time to learn Nepali typing than English typing. But using Nepali Unicode Traditional, Nepali typing has become easier and less time consuming.

How to learn typing free?

Typing can be done using word processing software. So far, Ms-Word, a software developed by Microsoft, has been widely used for typing around the world.

Everything about Ms-word can be learned from the next chapter.

Only in this chapter how to do typing and how to do typing can increase your speed.

I present information on how to type in English and Nepali. Then after i post another article from you can learn typing faster. From here you can learn typing for free.

2.1 English Typing:-

Practice makes perfect, and the only way to increase your speed and become better at typing is to practice.

A keyboard with a QWERTY layout is often used for typing. The buttons (keys) on the keyboard as seen in the picture below are named.

Follow the steps below to see how those buttons work. Here i provide guide how to learn typing for free.

Type to learn

Step 1: - Open the Ms-word program on your computer.

Step 2: - The main keys of the keyboard are letter keys. If you press those letter keys, it appears to have been typed in Lower Case.

For example, to type mohan, press m button on keyboard, then press o button, h button, a button and finally n button.

But if you press the m button with the Shift Key (Button) to make the first letter of the name capital (capital) then the lower m letter will be written as capital letter M.

Also, by turning on the Caps lock button and just pressing the m button, the lowercase letter M can be written as a capital letter.

As can be seen in the picture below. In English, lower case is called lower case and upper case is called upper case. From here you can read Free learn typing.

The longest button spacebar at the end of the keyboard is used to give a blank space between two letters/words. It works to give a space. Learn typing is not difficult.

Also use the space bar to enter your full name.

To type Mohan Bhatt, press m button with Shift key on keyboard, release shift button, then type o button, h button, a button, press spacebar button once, press B button with Shift key, release shift button. ,

Then type h button, a button, t button respectively and finally press t button. This way you can write your name successfully.

Step 3: - How to delete if any letter is misspelled. For that, there are two buttons on the computer keyboard.

Backspace button: -

This button deletes the letters to the left of the mouse cursor.

Delete button: -

This button deletes the letters to the right of the mouse cursor.

Step 4: - This is how you practice writing letters. Now that you know how to write English letters well, write time sentences.

Sentence: - The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.

Now use the above mentioned sentences to write. This is a good sentence to practice as it contains many letters of the alphabet.

Try to write the sentences in such English books on a daily basis. After that, you want to learn typing faster when you are ready.

Step 5: - Cursor can be moved to any place on the page of Ms-word without deleting any letters.

For this you have to use the arrow key shown in the picture below on the keyboard. The four buttons Up, Down, Left & Right arrow keys move the mouse cursor up, down, left and right respectively.

Step 6: - Once you know how to write letters in Ms-Word, now you have to go to write arithmetic numbers.

To do this, you need to use the Num pad with the Number keys and other keys on the right side of the keyboard.

The Num Lock key at the top of the Num pad should be turned on. Only then can the Numbers key be used.

Step 7: - Numbers can be typed using the Number key just above the letters on the keyboard. You can also see in the picture below.

There are symbols just above those numbers.

To type those signals, press the Shift key number. Such as '!', '', '#', '$', '%', '^', '&', '*', '(', ')' And so on.

Can be typed from, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Try to write the following sentence using similar symbols.

Sentence: - Last night I won 20,000.00 on the lottery!

You will find similar extra symbols elsewhere on the keyboard: -

Step 8: - 'Windows' key comes in different designs. It works just like the Windows button on the taskbar on your computer screen.

You can open the 'Start' menu by pressing this key or clicking the button on the taskbar with your mouse.

Step 9: - Using these keys you can scroll up and down the page of any website. Try using the keys below.

Step 10: - You are asked to use Ctrl and Alt keys for some operations.

Pressing one of these keys (Ctrl or Alt) with the other key or pressing the other key with both of these keys (Ctrl and Alt) causes certain computer functions.

.com/img/a/

For example,

-If you press Ctrl, Alt and Delete all at the same time, a menu will open. To lose it, press the 'Escape' (Esc) key in the top left corner of the keyboard.

-If you press a key with Ctrl key in Ms word program, it selects all the content in the word document.

- If you just press the alt key while running any software of Ms-office, Menu will be highlighted. Later, when you click on the character shown in the highlighted menu, the tab opens.

Tips for using your keyboard safely:-

Proper use of your keyboard can help prevent pain or injury to your wrists, hands and arms, especially if you use your computer for long periods of time. Here are some tips to improve keyboard usage:

-When typing, use a light touch and keep your hands straight.

-When you are not typing, rest your hands.

-Take a short break from computer use every 15 to 20 minutes.

-Keep your keyboard at the elbow level.

-Center your keyboard in front of you. If you have a numeric keypad on your keyboard, you can use the spacebar as the focal point.

-Type with your hand floating on the keyboard, so that you can use your whole arm to reach distant keys instead of spreading your fingers.

-Do not rest your hand or wrist on any type of keyboard surface while typing. If you have palm rest on your keyboard, use it only during breaks from typing.

If you repeat the above process & Steps daily at home, you can learn to type faster at home without too much effort.
