Fill up the blanks cells with following information.
a. Display current system data in Date column in YMD format such as 13 Oct 2012.
b. Format the Rate column with one decimal digit and currency such as Rs. 186.0
c. Calculate Amount for each row.
Solution:-
Type the above data in the excel sheet and write down the following formulas in the required cells.
Formula:-
Date (B2):- =TODAY()
To format Date column:-
Step 1:- Go to Home Tab.
Step 2:- Choose Data Type "More Number Formats" under Number group.
Step 3:- Choose Custom under Number Tab.
Step 4:- Select dd mmm yyyy format and Click OK button. That's all to format.
To format Rate Column:-
Step 1:- Select Range from D2:D4.
Step 2:- Click on Increasing Decimal Symbol under Number Group. That's all.
Amount (F2):- =C2*D2-C2*D2*E2%
