Read Carefully Before Start Exam

In practical examination of Computer Operator and Assistant Computer Operator, you should read careful before start exam. Exam begins when bell ring by an instructor of 45 minutes. Around 5 minutes are gives you for computer setting and checks if setting is wrong then correct it before exam start.  After that, they give you an A4 size paper for Nepali typing from which you type in your computer. After Ring the bell, immediately, you start type within 10 minutes as you can. After finish Nepali Typing, they give you another paper for English Typing that you finish within 5 minutes. Now this is the end of typing.

After that, you have to start Ms-Office Operation Test in which they give you one paper that you solve within 30 minutes. In the paper, 5 questions are asking from Ms-Word, Ms-Excel, Ms-Powerpoint, Ms-Access and HTML for computer operator. But in case of Assistant Computer Operator one question from HTML is not include. You have to solve only 4 questions from Ms-Word, Ms-Excel, Ms-Powerpoint, and Ms-Access of 30 marks.

After the practical exam, you have to take participate in interview. In interview, normally they ask question from computer fundamentals, science etc.

Firstly, I have to say congratulation for your written examination. After result published by PSC (Public Service Commission), you have to take practical exam that have of 45 minutes. Now you have to plan for practical exam. Firstly, you need to paper stand for easier view for typing.

  You have to practice a lot for both Nepali and English Typing. At least, you have to type 400 words for Nepali and 225 words for English in Computer Lab. So, you have to typing speed of about 35 words per minute for Nepali and 40 words per minutes for English. Mostly, Nepali Typing content is from News Papers, T.V. tec. Some words are harder to type so these words you don’t type. But in English typing of capital letters, date and time so these are time consuming. Be remember don’t left words in English Typing.

One thing you remember that, typing you have typed in your home is decreased around 20% when you are in Computer Lab. So think about it how much word you typed calculates.

Don’t be excited or keep quiet, you need to slight excited so you have to type or work normal than faster.

For Nepali Typing, you can use either method Traditional ways or Nepali Unicode. In Traditional ways, you use true type font as Preeti, Kantipur etc and for Nepali Unicode, you need to Nepali Unicode Traditional Layout software to run Nepali Unicode. Install this software and configure from Control Panel of Regional Setting and add it from the list.
